As the Kyle Rittenhouse trial continues, the only protester shot by Rittenhouse to survive testified on Monday. Gaige Grosskreutz, a volunteer medic and protestor who was the third and final man shot by Rittenhouse in the summer of 2020, recalled the events that led up to the shooting during Rittenhouse’s murder trial, the Associated Press reported. Defense attorneys attempted to use Grosskreutz’s testimony to justify their claim that Rittenhouse acted in self-defense because Grosskreutz admitted that he pointed his own gun at Rittenhouse prior to being shot.
