H&M Group’s latest sustainability project for Weekday, it's brand, is now available as an online exclusive. The Weekday special designers have altered the old designs based on trending ones and re-created garments from old collections into novel seasonal designs that connect with their customers during summer, according to the H&M website.The Re-Made capsule collection takes an up-cycling approach to design and is co-created with the H&M group’s Laboratory, the internal innovation department that explores new business models. This project is just one of the ways that the H&M group aims to create a two-way dialogue with their customers and to provide them with sustainable fashion that they really want, thus making smarter choices for the environment and creating clothes that are more likely to be loved for longer,” states the website.Created exclusively out of denim, the Weekday in-house design team embarked on the process by checking out the garments collection weighing the potential of each one of them for adaptation, followed by creating new unique styles. Design solutions are as common as observing that trends are moving towards denim vests, and hence doing away with the sleeves from denim jackets.
