A The casket rests on a gilded bronze base decorated with palmettes and supported by four lions. The important grip of the lid, in the shape of an all-round putto, is also in bronze and hides a secret compartment. The porcelain box is delimited, both above and below, by various orders of frames and, both the walls and the cover, are in relief with bas-relief scenes of mythology. At the four corners a cartouche frames a female head. The very elaborate porcelain lid also presents a frame with a crown of leaves and fruits and at the corners four friezes with vegetal elements. We are aware that the Ginori Manufactory presented similar wedding caskets in different exhibitions of the second half of the 19th century.
