MB&F has designed a three-dimensional horological timepiece, the “Legacy Machine FlyingT,” and each of the three editions features white gold and is set with diamonds. At MB&F (Maximilian Busser & Friends) designing and crafting radical concept watches is the focus of founder Maximilian Busser and his “friends,” drawn from a talented group of horological professionals. The company, which created the Legacy Machine collection in its 7th year, has ventured into a new avenue of horological exploration with the creation of the “Legacy Machine FlyingT.” The timepiece importantly is the first three-dimensional horological art piece from the company that is dedicated to women. The “Legacy Machine FlyingT” features a round case in white gold and a steeply cambered bezel along with slender, elongated lugs that is fully set with diamonds. A convex dome of sapphire rises up from the bezel, and beneath it is a subtly curved dial plate over which is stretched lacquer or a surface that is set with white diamonds.Onboard the timepiece is a flying tourbillon that beats at 2.5Hz (18,000vph), and it projects above the engine in a kinetic, dynamic column which stops short of the sapphire crystal dome. At the top of the upper tourbillon cage is a single large diamond that rotates simultaneously with the flying tourbillon. The 7 o’clock position features a dial created with black or white lacquer. It displays the hours and minutes with a pair of elegant serpentine hands in blued gold and has a 50° tilt. On the reverse the automatic winding rotor is shaped in a three-dimensional red gold sun with sculpted rays. The “Legacy Machine FlyingT” comes in three editions, one with a black lacquer dial plate while the other versions have dial plates and cases set with either brilliant-cut or baguette-cut diamonds.Click on the slideshow to check the timepiece.http://www.blouinartinfo.comFounder: Louise Blouin Read more
