Zenith in its latest watch the Pilot Type 20 Chronograph Trinidad Edition has paid tribute to the Trinidad 50 anniversary cigar produced at the El Laguito factory.The rich, aromatic and medium flavor that is characteristic of the Trinidad 50 anniversary cigar is the inspiration behind the latest timepiece from Zenith. Made at the El Laguito factory the Habano has been used to inspire the Pilot Type 20 Chronograph Trinidad Edition. Created as a result of a collaboration between Zenith and Habanos, S.A. the timepiece showcases the “excellence, sophistication and exclusivity” that both brands are famed for. Offered in three models the timepiece comes with a 45 mm case which is created from rose, yellow or white gold. The limited edition run will see each available in 50-pieces with an engraving of the Trinidad 50th Anniversary logo on the case back. The dial features a brown hued laser engraving that is borrowed from the Tobacco leaf.Onboard the watch is an El Primero 4069 column-wheel chronograph automatic movement which according to the company is a “descendant of the world’s most accurate series-made chronograph calibre.” Displayed on the dial are the central hours and minutes, small seconds and chronograph functions. Oversize beige luminescent numerals stand out on the dial which also has the Zenith and Trinidad logos. Paired with the watches are Havana brown calfskin leather straps with a Trinidad logo pattern and each has pin buckle in 18-carat rose, yellow or white gold to match the case.A unique Pilot Type 20 Chronograph Trinidad Edition in platinum was auctioned during the Habanos Festival which saw the watch being released.
