With a very compressed, curved body and an integral loop handle issuing from the back of the teapot and and across the body to join the front of the mouth rim; with two square seals 'Wang Yinxian' and 'Zhang Shouzhi' on the base and two small seals 'Yinxian' and 'Wang Yang' on the interior of the handle, the interior of the cover with three seals 'Wang Yang', 'Yinxian' and a goat seal. 8¼ in. (20.9 cm.) across. Estimate: USD 30,000 - USD 50,000- Wang Yinxian (1943-2018): A Yixing Teapot and Cover, 'Nesting Bird'. Modeled in a circular curved shape, with an integral handle and spout, the underside of one side of the handle with two seals 'Wang' and 'Yinxian', the base with an artist seal 'Wang Yinxian', and the interior of the cover with a seal 'Yinxian'. 5¾ in. (14.6 cm.) high, cloth box. Estimate: USD 30,000 - USD 50,000- Jiang Rong (1919-2008): A Blue Lotus Leaf-Form Yixing Teapot And Cover, 'Green Lotus Frog'. Potted in the form of a foliate lotus leaf, supported on three snail-form feet, the cover surmounted by a frog-form finial; the interior of the cover and the base of the teapot each with a seal 'Jiang Rong'. 6 in. Estimate: USD 15,000 - USD 25,000- Xu Xiutang (B. 1937) and Zhou Guizhen (B. 1943), Dated 1990: A Compressed Yixing Teapot And Cover, 'Dragon's Son'. aised on three short pierced feet, with a mythical beast-form spout and a chilong-form handle; incised on each side with an archaistic inscription followed by a cyclical date gengwu (1990) and the two artists' signatures respectively, the base with a square seal mark 'Zhou Guizhen zao (made by Zhou Guizhen)' and a seal 'Guizhen' on the interior of the cover. 7½ in. The earliest known Yixing potter from the Ming dynasty, Gong Chun, shown seated on a bench in front of a burl-form teapot; the bench inscribed with a long inscription describing the story of Gong Chun and incorporating the artist's signature and a cyclical year bingzi (1996), the back of the bench with two artist's seal marks, 'Xiu' and 'Xiutang'. 6 in. (15.2 cm.) across. Estimate: USD 10,000 - USD 15,000- Yao Zhiyuan (B. 1971), Dated 1992: A Compressed Yixing Teapot And Cover With Inscriptions, 'Overhandle'. Carved on one side with two large characters yu le (joy of fish) followed by an inscription including a date renshen (1992), the artist's signature and seal, and the opposite side with a fish; signed and dated Z.Y. 1992.10.18, the base with a seal mark ‘Shangtou shangren (Man on top of the hill)’ within a double gourd, with two small seals 'Yao' and 'Zhiyuan' beneath the arched handle, the interior of the cover with a seal 'Yinxian jian zhi (Supervised by Yinxian)'. 7 in. (17.8 cm.) high. Estimate: USD 7,000 - USD 10,000- Bao Zhongmei (B. 1944), Dated 1990: A Globular Yixing Teapot and Cover, 'Shot Inlaid With Silver'. The body and cover inlaid with small spots of silver, with three archaistic knobs on the sides, one functioning as the spout, the cover with a chain-form finial; the base with a circular seal 'Bao Zhongmei zhi (Made by Bao Zhongmei)', with a long inscription incorporating a cyclical year gengwu (1990) and artist's seal 'Zhongmei' on the interior of the cover, the center of the interior base with another inscription. 3¾ in.
