Richard Mille focused on candies and fruits in their Bonbon Collection, while Vacheron Constantin brought out the Traditionnelle Twin Beat perpetual calendar at SIHH 2019.At the SIHH 2019 watch fair that took place last month, Swiss luxury watch manufacturers were out in force and displayed several new timepieces. Among the exhibitors at the fair in Geneva was Richard Mille, and the company showcased its new Bonbon Collection containing 10 models. Each of the models will be produced in 30 pieces and, according to the company press release, exemplify their “sweet and tangy new vision” of watch-making. The new offerings are based on the brand’s RM 07-03, RM 16-01, and RM 37-01 models, and have a “disruptive appearance.”Among the Bonbon watches, four recreate sweets and pastries, and have two-tone ceramic cases. Whereas six models recreate fruits, such as blueberry, litchi, lemon, strawberry, cherry and kiwi.Vacheron Constantin, meanwhile, focused on its new offering the Traditionnelle Twin Beat Perpetual Calendar, which has a dual frequency that is wearer controllable. While the Overseas Perpetual Calendar ultra-thin has an extraordinarily slim profile at 8.1 mm. Several unique Mecaniques Sauvages creations from Les Cabinotiers department, such as the Imperial Tiger, the Wild Panda, and the Majestic Tiger models saw engraving and wood marquetry being used to embellish the dials. Another offering from the house that was showcased at the fair was the Les Cabinotiers Minute Repeater Perpetual Calendar that comes with a Calibre 1731 QP, and provides a combination of minute repeater and perpetual calendar functions.
