F.P. Journe is marking the Chronometre a Resonance’s 20th Anniversary with a limited edition timepiece that has an analog 24 hour indication.Founded in 1999, F.P. Journe has since then built a reputation as one of leading Swiss watch manufacturers and the company has won the Aiguille d'Or grand prize on three occasions. The company is proudly showcasing this watch making expertise in its latest timepiece, and has billed the limited edition Chronometre a Resonance as the “only wrist-watch in the world featuring acoustic resonance.” Additionally, the edition of the Chronometre a Resonance is a special offering from the company to mark the 20th year anniversary of the watch.The Chronometre a Resonance with an analog 24 hour indication will be produced and offered during 2019, after which the lineup is set to be shelved permanently. Since the first timepiece with the “Resonance” tag was introduced in 2000, the lineup has showcased the detailed research and precision that founder Francois-Paul Journe employed in its creation.As for the latest Chronometre a Resonance, it features an 18K rose Gold Calibre 1499.3 movement with manual winding and has a power reserve of 40 hours. The important element of the watch is the hour dial, which is positioned at 3 o’clock which maintains an analog 12 hour indication. As for the dial at 9 o’clock it displays an analog 24 hour indication. Two beating “mechanical hearts” are synchronized and bring unparalleled precision to the mechanical timepiece.Other indications of the watch are a two small seconds at six o’clock while a power reserve is positioned at 11 o’clock.
