Based on the FitStation platform, both companies will research and develop the most technologically advanced digital and dynamically tailored professional running shoes on a global scale, as per a PR Newswire release.According to the plan, SIGG, the exclusive HP FitStation partner in China, has launched this innovative product at ISPO that was held in China recently.FitStation, a forward-thinking 3D technology platform supported by HP hardware and software technologies, takes a series of measures related to the prospective buyer’s physical exercise, including dynamic gait analysis and analytics, foot pressure during walking and running using 3D scanning and printing technologies. The platform creates a precise 3D image of each foot and foot pressure measurements of the person on the move, as well as other data needed to customize a unique pair of running shoes, creating a perfect fit based on the exact contour of the foot, while matching other aspects of shoe construction with running patterns and posture.As per the release, the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has made it possible to fully meet the personalized requirements of consumers, putting the “I” and the “my” at the forefront of the process of purchasing consumer goods. Old-generation running shoes from traditional production and assembly lines can only meet the most basic expectations of consumers. Yet, each person has different demands and expectations of their running shoes that are influenced by the level of damping, running frequency, and even how the runner’s foot touches the ground at each step.In order to meet this challenge, SIGG has worked to produce a personalized, fully contoured running shoe based on the foot of the shoe owner, and responsive to his or her physical exercise habits, after taking precise measurements of the contour of the shoe foot and thoroughly studying the rider’s behavior during the exercise.Currently, SIGG and HP have introduced version 1.0 of the custom running shoes.
