The city of Madrid enters a month-long celebration of design with the inaugural edition of Madrid Design Festival that runs from February 1 to February 28, 2018. The event brings together more than 28 museums and institutions, and 25 brands featuring exhibitions, workshops, masterclasses, and installations.The main exhibition venue is Fernán Gómez Centro Cultural de la Villa, however the festival permeates all parts of the city through design activities and tours organized in collaboration with museums including the Museum of Decorative Arts, the Archaeological Museum, the Sorolla Museum, the Lázaro Galdiano Museum, and the Museum of Romanticism.Helsinki has been invited as the city of the festival featuring best of Finnish design. COAM, the festival’s official venue, will host MadridDesignPRO from February 14 to 16, featuring activities around the theme of “Redesign the World,” and bringing together designers such as Erwan Bouroullec, Abbot Miller, Daan Roosegaarde, Martí Guixé, Massoud Hassani, and Mischer'Traxler or Jasper Morrison.  Read more
