Zaha Hadid Architects carry the fluidity of Australia’s landscapes and seascapes into the design of their latest project in Melbourne - Mayfair Residential Tower.The project is located on St Kilda Road, surrounded by spectacular views of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Port Phillip Bay, Albert Park and the Central Business District skyline.The sculpted wave-like external façade defines large balconies for each apartment, allowing residents to make full advantage of the excellent location in a city that has been listed as ‘the world’s most liveable city’ for the seventh consecutive year. The fluid design of the exteriors continues through the interiors of the apartment design blurring the boundaries between building and city, exterior and interior. Living areas are weaved together as a sequence of spatial experiences with interior features that echo the façade’s sculptural qualities.The communal areas, roof terrace and swimming pools define the leisure and entertainment spaces within the 19-storey project housing 158 residences.
