The city of São Paulo in Brazil is soon to become home to a building made completely out of Brazilian wood, a project by AMATA and Triptyque Architecture. The initiative came from AMATA, a Brazilian forest management company. The project has been signed off by Triptyque Architecture and will be built in the Vila Madalena neighborhood. Based on a mixed-use concept and 13 stories high, the project allows for many different functional uses, including co-working, co-living, and hospitality.“Wooden framed buildings are an efficient solution and may serve as a boost toward a change in the environmental consciousness of our societies,” said Dario Guarita Neto, cofounder and CEO at AMATA. By replacing non-renewable resources with natural raw materials, it can also help lower the pressure for deforestation. This will serve as one of the solutions for the long-lasting problem of carbon emissions in the construction industry.AMATA brings innovative solutions in the form of its design, reduced construction time, durability, and architectural possibilities. The wooden building will represent the seed to a new construction paradigm, World Architecture News noted. Read more
