“Raio X De Uma Prática Fotográfica,” an exhibition of works featuring photographer and architect Fernando Guerra is on view at Fundação Centro Cultural de Belém, Lisbon, Portugal.The selection of works on display looks at architectural photography in the new millennium and the relationship between architects and society. Guerra’s work represents the ideal of beauty and perfection that is both modern and classic. The FG + SG office is an internationally recognized award-winning photographic practice that looks into architectural mediatization. The show explores the combination of Guerra’s work and the map of the activities of the FG + SG office by drawing its archives and depicting its production processes. The exhibit examines the point of view of fifty architects or workshops, from different parts of the world and generations through the selection of diptychs of their own architecture portrayed by the photographer.The Centro Cultural de Belem (CCB) was built as a center for temporary exhibitions and since 2206 houses the Berardo Museum that consists of multipurpose rooms, an auditorium for symphonic music and opera, and one more for performing arts, also a meeting center that hosted the Portuguese presidency of the Union Eupropeia in 1992. The building designed by architects Vittorio Gregotti (Italy) and Manuel Salgado (Portugal), today has an intense cultural program and an important role as a meeting center.
